Keep Fruits and Vegetables Fresh Longer
The produce co-op that I talked about here comes with a lot of fruits and vegetables. It's approximately 2 laundry baskets worth.
If you have a smaller family or don't go through a bunch of produce quickly it is possible to keep your produce fresh for two weeks (sometimes longer). We use the Debbie Meyer green bags
The only thing I'd like to call out is read the materials that come with the bags. When you put produce in the bags you need to ensure it's dry. If you notice moisture collecting you should wipe down the inside of the bag, otherwise the produce will actually spoil faster.
You can get a box of 20 bags (10 large, 10 small) for only $0.99 + $4.99 shipping. Details can be found here
As an aside, I've never been a fan of 'As Seen on TV Products'. However these Debbie Myer green bags
